Pre-Baccalaureate Frequently Asked Questions
Our Pre-Baccalaureate Program which is 7 weeks, is our only credit bearing option offered this summer. Students can enroll in a Barnard course that will have Barnard undergraduate students and taught by Barnard faculty. This program is more rigorous than our other 3-week institutes as this is a college-credit bearing program. Credits can be transferred to Barnard or another college.
Students can choose from one of our 13 courses by indicating their first and second choice course in their application.
Class size can range from 15 - 20 students.
Yes, classes will be a mixture of current Barnard College students and high school students participating in our Pre-Baccalaureate program
Each course within the Barnard Pre-College Pre-Baccalaureate Program is worth 3 college credits
These credits can transfer to any college or university that accepts credit transfers. If you attend Barnard in the future, your credits can be used here.
