Pre-Baccalaureate Frequently Asked Questions
Pre-Baccalaureate Frequently Asked Questions
Our Pre-Baccalaureate Program which is 6 weeks, is our only credit bearing option offered this summer. Students can enroll in a Barnard course that will have Barnard undergraduate students and taught by Barnard faculty. This program is more rigorous than our other 3-week virtual institutes as this is a college-credit bearing program, as credits can be used at Barnard or another college.
Students can choose from one of our 8 courses by indicating their first and second choice course in their application.
Class size can range from 15 - 20 students.
Yes, classes will be a mixture of current Barnard College students and high school students participating in our Pre-Baccalaureate program
Each course within the Barnard Pre-College Pre-Baccalaureate Program is worth 3 college credits
These credits can transfer to any college or university that accepts credit transfers. If you attend Barnard in the future, your credits can be used here.
